V4.24 Update

Meditations

For the rest of the year, all the meditations in the app have been made available for free!

You can get to them from the Mind analytics in the reports, or from the Mental Health section of your Coach tab. These are available for everyone, even free accounts without subscription.

Once you’ve done some meditations and start to get the hang of it, you can also move on to Breathwork. The breathwork chapter of the academy can also be easily found in shortcuts.

image

You should start with watching the intro video & following the shorter sessions in the app. The Academy chapter also has more details about how it works and important warnings.

Once you’ve mastered that and done a few in the app, you can join the live group sessions! These in-person sessions used to only be available in Gyroscope Coach, but we have opened up the calendar for all members for the rest of the year as well.

Health Tab

The Health Tab has been improved to show more details for each aspect of your health. Now you can see larger graphs of each trend, and continue to analytics to go deeper into the specific data points.

The Academy

The Academy has also been simplified, with more insights and content added to each section.

Start from the basics with setting up your goals & measuring your baseline. Then jump into all the essential skills, backed up by tracking and insights in Gyroscope.

New Guides

For those interested in physical fitness or metabolic health, we have published our complete guides to these topics. Especially if you don’t want to have a human coach do this for you, reading and understanding these topics is essential. Now you have the knowledge and roadmap available to do it on your own.

XRAY

This update expands our signature Health Score tracker to the complexities of Nutrition.

image

Members in XRAY who have tracked at least a few weeks of food history will now be able to see their nutrition grade. This is powered by a real team of humans who are able to correctly analyze your meals.

On the Gyroscope Website, you can go deeper into this grade to see the exact foods and scores, and find simple improvements to your common meals.

image

Especially with holidays coming up, some unhealthy meals are natural and to be expected. What matters most seems to be how frequent those are and how they are balanced with more nutritious and balanced meals.

Furthermore, a “bad“ meal doesn’t need to be extremely bad — using XRAY you can learn to balance your meals to still get a good grade while treating yourself. For example, adding fiber and protein to each meal especially if you plan to have a big dessert.

image

Many people eat too little fiber, and with the XRAY reports you can start to understand which meals are high and low in this important nutrient.

image

Protein is one of the most important macronutrients to optimize, whether your goal is general health, fat loss or muscle gain. With this report, you can pinpoint the meals that were highest and lowest in contributing to your daily protein goal.

image

Speaking of goals, we will try to automatically figure out what is a good amount for you when coming up with the grades. However, now you can customize this.

From your Goals page on the website, you can customize the metabolic coach with your specific targets and current objectives. For example, being in a calorie surplus or deficit is not necessarily “good“ or “bad“ but just depends on what you are trying to do.
